How can I not???
Here’s my thoughts as we end the year 2010 and begin the year 2011…
2010 was a great year. It was full of ups and down and all arounds. Welcoming the squeaky one into our life was a joyful beginning. Working our way out of the debt hole has been a rough climb. We still have a way to go on that one, but I think we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.
2011 will be the year that nothing will hold us back from being the givers we are meant to be. This is the year we don’t just help those that come along our path, but we search out those who need it.
2010 has also been our first experience of having a two year old. Days have not been perfect, but I have to say that we do not have the terrible twos, but rather the terrific twos. Yummy just simply got yummier.
2011 hopefully this year will bring us a daughter, but we’d be happy with another son too. We just have such good girls names we want to use. (And NO mothers we are not yet with child…not yet.)
In 2010 we learned and grew so much. We actually have delved into learning our history. Our founders were amazing people. I have a new-found respect for George Washington. What a man! I am proud to say that I believe our country was shaped by his character. Thank you God for keeping this man under your wing.
2011 This is going to be the year that we open ourselves more than we ever have before to God and all that He has for us. No boundaries, no limits, just like Mary acceptance to HIS perfect plan.
2010 Bye, bye gallbladder. This year I finally had it out with that thing. I think I miss it, but I can say that I do NOT miss the stones. No more attacks and this year I actually enjoyed rib roast for Christmas (and all the goodies).
2011 Hello healthier life. I have been spending more and more time beginning to study natural living. This will also be a year beginning to say good bye more and more to processed foods and hello to growing, soaking and canning. Woo-wee, somebody is going to be spending more time in the kitchen.
2010 The family said goodbye to our beloved dog Muffin. She was a good old dog and she will be missed. Thankfully she did do her Christmas shopping before her demise and we all got to enjoy one last present from the dog. 🙂
2011 I am anticipating this year with wonder and excitement. Who knows what it’ll bring? We have so much to be grateful for.
We could look at what is going on in our economy and be fearful. We could be filled with worry ad concern, but instead may I encourage to look at the new year and all that it brings with one of my favorite scriptures in mind…
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of asound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7
Wishing you a bright and cheerful New Year and the openness to see your future through the eyes of the One who loves you more and has better plans for you than you could ever imagine.
