The Brussels Sprouts
Well, I am now brussels sprouts believer. These were roasted with olive oil and a bit of Mrs. Dash and Sea salt. I will definitely eat them again and in fact think that I may have to go buy some tomorrow.
Brussels sprouts are a source of indole-3-carbinol, a chemical which boosts DNA repair in cells and appears to block the growth of cancer cells. They are high in Vitamin C, D and Folic Acid. (Sounds like a great pregnancy food.)
BIL did pick them out and not eat them, but he just missed out. I look forward to trying some other recipes. If you have one, please share. This is a food I would love to get my kids to love.
