Where do you want to be?
Heaven is a wonderful place, filled with glory and grace. I wanna see my Savior’s face, cause heaven is a wonderful place.
One of my favorite childhood songs. Today I was thinking about the line “filled with glory and grace”. What does that mean? And why do we have to wait for heaven to experience it? I don’t believe we do. I believe we can experience heaven right here on earth.
We are able to live and breathe glory and grace right now. You inhale resplendent beauty and radiate unmerited favor. Nothing can stop you when you live this lifestyle, a lifestyle of love. This minute we carry glory and grace in our very beings. Is it locked up tight inside or can it be found be seeping out of your pores? The words you breathe today can be laced with grace. The question is…how do we do it?
Well, we have to stop hiding in the closet and throw our door open to God. He is the one who empowers us to really live. All the things we have been hanging onto have to be let go. We must learn from our past, but not live in it. Walls may even need to be torn down so that we have room to move. Brick by brick and stone by stone we choose to live freely.
A free man has the ability to lead others towards liberty. Anger and frustration are not able to restrain a free man who revels in a life of glory and grace. That man cannot be held down, but soars high. He LIVES heaven here on earth. And he sees… The face of the Savior is not hidden to him that looks. Observe with new eyes today that which has been hidden. Know that you are different simply because it is a new day for the celebration of freedom.
Today is the day to choose to break free from everything that has held you back and jump with both feet into the river of life that is right in front of you. Forget you were once afraid of the water. Breathe the water of life!
Romans 5:1-2 By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.
1. Enter in
2. Open your door
3. Breathe in
4. Breathe out
May you not be weighed down by the worries of this world today, but may you instead soar high, having been filled with heaven.
